In two recent articles, Willamette Week reported that Multnomah County had temporarily shut down its Behavioral Health Resource Center (BHRC) in downtown Portland, Oregon, due to allegations that employees of DPI Security and Northwest Success Inc., the Center’s security and janitorial service providers, and a third contractor, had used cannabis and cocaine at the center, had questionable sexual relationships with coworkers, and had blackmailed each other by threatening to reveal each other’s behavior…

Transparency is essential to ensure that “social enterprises” such as DPI Group Inc./DePaul Industries are truly serving the public good. Omissions and errors in the financial reports filed by DPI Group prevent the public from doing the math to confirm where their money comes from—and where it all goes.

People do not lose their human rights, freedom of association or right to form a union, because they have disabilities, nor do they deserve condescension from their employer.
